Kaitlin Ketchum is an editor at Ten Speed Press, part of the Crown Publishing Group that’s based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She primarily acquires and edits on art-driven gift/pop culture books such as Ella Frances Sanders’s New York Times-bestselling "Lost in Translation" (2014), as well as cookbooks, most notably Deborah Madison’s "The New Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone" (2014) and Yotam Ottolenghi’s New York Times-bestselling "Plenty More" (2015). She also acquires and edits general non-fiction lifestyle, creativity, art instruction, and women's interest titles. Some of her forthcoming 2015 projects include "Fika: The Art of the Swedish Coffee Break" by Anna Brones and Johanna Kindvall; costume designer and fashion writer Alison Freer’s personal style guide "How to Get Dressed"; Fran Krause’s "Deep Dark Fears' and Dyna Moe’s "Hipster Animals," both of which are based on eponymous Tumblr comic series; Chuck Sambuchino’s humorous "When Clowns Attack"; award-winning product designer Ayse Birsel’s interactive creativity book "Design the Life You Love"; and Yotam Ottolenghi’s highly-anticipated "The NOPI Cookbook," with recipes from his high-end London restaurant. Some of her forthcoming 2016 projects include "Southern Spirits," a narrative history of alcohol in the American south by Robert F. Moss; illustrator Maja Safstrom’s "Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts"; Anna Brones’s "The Two Wheeled Life," an inspirational and informative illustrated guide to the world of cycling; Ella Frances Sanders’s "The Illustrated Book of Sayings," an art-driven collection of aphorisms, idioms, and adages from around the world; "Far Afield," a photographic culinary travel book featuring profiles of the stewards of the world’s oldest foodways by Shane Mitchell; and "Personal Style," a practical and inspirational roadmap on how to cultivate a strong sense of style and build the perfect wardrobe, by blogger Anuschka Rees.
